Young Engineers & Scientists Summit: Meralco Power Academy inspires future innovators

Meralco Power Academy (MPA), the energy education arm of Manila Electric Co. (Meralco), gathered over 330 senior high school students from 11 schools across the Philippines for the Young Engineers and Scientists Summit (YESS) in Pasig City.

With the theme “Purpose-driven Innovation,” the summit aimed to inspire young minds to push the boundaries of science and technology and explore opportunities in the power sector.

Experts from New Energy Nexus, Ikigai Philippines, and Meralco introduced students to innovation frameworks, the Japanese concept of “ikigai” (reason for living), and career opportunities in the energy industry.
