In a statement, the company described its VF 5 model as a compact, city-friendly electric vehicle designed for first-time buyers and environmentally conscious drivers.
This model represents VinFast's entry into the Philippines, which is aiming to capture market share by offering affordability and quality. The launch aligns with VinFast's broader global expansion plans, the company said.
Filipino customers can take advantage of discounts of up to P149,000 by reserving VF 5 units between Aug 14. and Sept. 30, 2024, for a refundable fee of P5,000.
Depending on the purchasing method, buyers can receive a direct discount of P50,000, plus additional savings ranging from P69,000 to P99,000, along with free perks such as a wall-mounted charger and installation.
VinFast has structured four discount combinations for the VF 5, catering to varying customer preferences regarding battery subscriptions and payment methods. The lowest level prices the car at P1.1 million, while the deepest discount level prices the vehicle at P873,000.
The biggest discount is available to those opting for the non-subscription battery plan and paying via cash or bank payment order, the company said.
