The Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Automotive Sub-Council (CCPIT-Auto) signed a pivotal memorandum of understanding (MOU) in a bid to bolster the adoption of electric vehicles (EV).
Signed during the China Auto Chongqing Summit from June 6-8, 2024, the event was seen to “foster collaboration between the Philippines and China in the EV industry, encompassing the entire value chain.”
This strategic partnership is also set to accelerate the growth and adoption of electric vehicles by pooling resources and expertise from both organizations.
“Our collaboration with CCPIT-Auto will open new avenues for knowledge sharing, investment opportunities, and the development of sustainable transportation solutions,” Rommel Juan, chair of EVAP, said in a statement.
