Insider Spotlight
Lenovo Philippines is offering SM Gift Pass worth P1,000 to P5,000 through its Holiday Promo 2026, covering select IdeaPad, Yoga, LOQ and Legion laptops purchased from authorized resellers between Oct. 15 and Dec. 31.
Why it matters
The promotion provides consumers with additional spending flexibility at a time when holiday purchases can put pressure on household budgets. The incentives can be used for groceries, dining, entertainment and other retail expenses, extending their value beyond the original laptop purchase.
By the numbers
Participating IdeaPad laptops qualify for SM Gift Pass worth P1,000 to P2,500, while eligible Yoga devices carry rewards of P2,000 or P3,000. Gaming-focused Lenovo LOQ models offer P2,000, while select Legion laptops come with P3,000 or P5,000, with the highest incentive available for the Legion Pro 5 16IRX10.
The details
The SM Gift Pass can be redeemed at participating establishments, including The SM Store, SM Supermarket, SM Hypermart, SM Appliance Center, Ace Hardware, Watsons, Toy Kingdom and selected dining and entertainment outlets.
Customers must register through Lenovo's promotional website and submit a valid ID, proof of purchase, device model information and serial number, according to a company release. The name on the purchase invoice must match the submitted identification.
What to watch
Lenovo will notify applicants of their redemption status within seven to 14 business days after submission. Successful applicants will receive their SM Gift Pass through email within another seven to 14 business days.
Each customer may participate up to five times, subject to device eligibility and other promotional conditions. Redemption requests must be submitted within 60 days after the promotion ends, after which unclaimed incentives will be forfeited.
The bottom line
Lenovo's holiday campaign reflects a retail strategy that uses bundled shopping incentives to encourage technology purchases while giving consumers additional value beyond the devices themselves. —Princess Daisy C. Ominga | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
