Over 400 St. Luke's BGC rooms now ‘smart rooms’ thanks to Converge technology

Patients of St. Luke's Medical Center will now have direct access to their medical records, updated bills, and a range of streaming entertainment options – while being able to order the food they want – all through the convenience of their in-room television units.

This is after Converge ICT Solutions Inc. rolled out on Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, the Philippines’ first Fiber-to-the-Room (FTTR) technology at the hospital's Bonifacio Global City branch in Taguig, in an effort to improve patient care and digital integration in healthcare.

Converge deployed its FTTR solution in over 400 rooms of St. Luke’s BGC, with nearly 400 rooms in Quezon City also set for activation soon.

This system, branded as the St. Luke’s In-Room Digital Concierge, is designed to enhance the patient experience through seamless digital access to healthcare services and entertainment.

The St. Luke’s In-Room Digital Concierge aims to improve hospital stays by allowing patients to access eHealth records, entertainment, and billing services via smart TVs powered by a Converge digital smart box. This software-driven platform offers:

  • Personalized eHealth access – Patients can view medical records, test results, and treatment plans in real time.
  • Smart entertainment hub – A range of digital entertainment, including on-demand movies, streaming services, and interactive games.
  • Easier bill management – Secure online billing and payment solutions for patient convenience.
