Construction progress of the country’s first subway is estimated at 15.6 percent, the Department of Transportation said in a statement.
Spanning 33 kilometers, the subway will cut through eight cities, including a spur line to Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.
It aims to reduce travel time between Quezon City and the airport from over an hour to just 35 minutes, with the ability to service up to 370,000 passengers daily
