Manila subway project enters BGC with Uptown Bonifacio groundbreaking
Construction of the Metro Manila Subway has reached Bonifacio Global City, with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. leading the groundbreaking of the Kalayaan Avenue station inside Megaworld Corp.’s Uptown Bonifacio township.

DOTr reports major right-of-way gains for subway, rail projects
As of December 2025, the DOTr has acquired 90.76 percent of right-of-way and properties needed for the Metro Manila Subway Project. For the NSCR north segment, the agency said at least 56 percent of land has already been cleared and made buildable, a sharp improvement from early 2025 levels.

Metro Manila subway on track for 2028 partial operations
The Metro Manila Subway is expected to start partial operations by 2028, initially connecting Valenzuela City to North Avenue, Quezon City.
