Jobstreet by SEEK joins DepEd, PSAC in career readiness push

Online job platform Jobstreet by SEEK has entered into strategic partnerships with the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) Jobs Cluster to boost nationwide career readiness initiatives and digitize access to employment opportunities.

The partnerships were formalized through memorandums of agreement signed by the involved parties, marking a collective push to address employment gaps and prepare the Filipino workforce for the demands of the job market.

“We, at Jobstreet by SEEK, are very optimistic about these partnerships, as this reflects our shared vision of opening more doors and supporting Filipino job seekers from all walks of life,” said Dannah Majarocon, managing director of Jobstreet by SEEK Philippines.

“We’re excited to work together with these organizations and sectors, organizing more career conventions, expanding career readiness, and making job opportunities more accessible for Filipino job seekers.”

Career Readiness Caravan

Under the agreement with DepEd, Jobstreet by SEEK will expand the reach of its Career Readiness Caravan — a workshop-based campaign that provides senior high school and Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners with job market insights, practical tips, and professional guidance.

The initiative also supports DepEd’s Youth Formation programs, which focus on developing values, life skills, and employability among the youth.

PSAC partnership to digitize job fairs and streamline access

The collaboration with the PSAC Jobs Cluster aims to modernize job conventions and fairs by leveraging Jobstreet by SEEK’s digital platform. This includes digitizing event processes, boosting job fair marketing, and enabling broader access to employment opportunities through online platforms.

PSAC acts as a bridge between the private sector and government, advocating for policy reforms and initiatives to enhance employment generation and economic growth.

TESDA talks underway for credential verification and skill-building

Beyond its current partnerships, Jobstreet by SEEK is in advanced discussions with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). The proposed collaboration centers on co-developing training modules, offering labor market data, and integrating seekPASS — Jobstreet’s mobile application that enables users to store, verify, and share job application credentials securely.

If finalized, the partnership will also bring Jobstreet into key TESDA events, including the Philippine National Skills Competition 2025 and WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025.

Expanding public-private collaboration with DOLE and PRA

Earlier this year, Jobstreet by SEEK partnered with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA) to create more career pathways in the retail sector. The company also collaborates with DOLE’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) for on-ground initiatives such as job fairs and career conventions.
