The agreement, signed in April and implemented in June 2026, now supplies renewable electricity to all buildings and facilities across Enderun's 1.7-hectare main campus in Taguig City.
First Gen said it will supply the school's estimated 650-kilowatt electricity requirement from its Unified Leyte geothermal power plant, allowing Enderun to power its campus with clean, renewable energy.
Green milestone
Enderun officials said the transition demonstrates that sustainability initiatives can complement sound business decisions.
"We studied the renewable energy source of First Gen and what it looked like in terms of operational cost. It's so good when initiatives that help save the planet, help the environment, and help sustainability align with business sense," Enderun Colleges chief operating officer Danny Perez said in a statement.
The school said the shift marks another milestone in its long-term commitment to building a greener campus while embedding environmental responsibility into its operations.
The move also reflects the growing number of institutions choosing renewable energy not only to manage energy costs but also to support broader decarbonization goals.
Growing demand
For First Gen, the partnership reflects a broader shift among electricity consumers toward cleaner energy sources.
"Year on year, we can see the transition from customers who are after cheaper electricity to proactively indicating that they want renewable energy sources," said First Gen's head of sales and engagement Arlene Soriano.

First Gen is the country's leading renewable energy producer, with 1,700 megawatts (MW) of installed generating capacity from 31 hydroelectric, geothermal, solar, and wind facilities nationwide.
