SM Store is putting a CBTL cafe in all its outlets by 2026

The SM Group and The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, part of the Jollibee Group, are stirring things up with a partnership to roll out in-store cafes in all 78 SM Store branches by 2026.

At presents 25 SM Store branches already feature CBTL cafes, including prominent locations like North Edsa, Megamall, and Southmall, SM said in a statement.

The planned expansion aims to add 53 more in-store cafes over the next two years.

“Having a CBTL cafe in SM Store not only adds sophistication but also provides convenience and comfort to shoppers, transforming shopping into an enjoyable and relaxed experience,” said Paolo del Rosario, co-founder and vice president for marketing and business development at CBTL.

The partnership started with the first CBTL branch opening at SM Store North Edsa in December 2022, aiming to create welcoming spaces for shoppers.

CBTL will also give special discounts to SM Advantage Card members.

Adding cafes to stores is a common practice among big international brands. This offers customers a place to relax, meet friends, and enjoy more than just shopping.

“CBTL has committed to opening cafes in SM Store based on their global reputation for exceptional customer service. We choose partners who align with our commitment to enhancing customer experience,” said Dhinno Tiu, executive vice president of the SM Store.
