The new terminal will accommodate 25,000 passengers daily and connect Baguio to key southbound routes, including Metro Manila and Cavite via the South Luzon Integrated Terminal Exchange (SLITX).
Growing land port portfolio
The BCIT win strengthens Megawide’s growing landport portfolio, which already includes the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), the upcoming SLITX in Carmona, and the Cavite Bus Rapid Transit system.
These projects, collectively known as transit-centered developments, aim to modernize public transport and improve connectivity between Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Management's view
“Landports, such as our PITX, BCIT, and SLITX, as well as the ongoing Cavite Bus Rapid Transit system, are part of the grand objective to provide the public with safe, secure, and efficient public transport while improving connectivity and enhancing mobility across key cities,” said Jaime Feliciano, Megawide’s head of business development.
“In terms of financial impact, collectively, we are looking at an annual recurring net income contribution of P300 million to P400 million from these transit-centered developments once operations reach full scale over the next two to three years," he added .
Megawide, which targets to surpass P1 billion in profit by 2026, also recently completed the P4.9-billion share transfer of Citicore Renewable Energy Corp.
