BPI earns global Stevie honors for excellence in people growth

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) once again proved its world-class standards in people development and leadership excellence after taking home multiple distinctions at the 2025 Stevie® International Business Awards held in Lisbon, Portugal.

The big picture

BPI earned the Gold Stevie® for Company of the Year–Financials (Large Category), reaffirming its stature as a top financial institution committed to innovation and customer service.

The bank’s emphasis on people-first programs shone through its wins for the ELITE Summit, which bagged Gold for Corporate & Community Employee-Centric Event and Bronze for Corporate Event, alongside a Silver for the BPI Customer Delight Journey under Achievement in Customer Satisfaction.

People power

Beyond company-wide recognition, BPI leaders were individually honored for their impact:

  • Gina Eala, chief human resources officer – Gold Stevie® for Human Resources Executive of the Year
  • Cathy P. Santamaria, chief customer and marketing officer – Silver Stevie® for Marketing Executive of the Year
  • Angeline Cheng, internal communication officer for HR – Silver Stevie® for Communications Professional of the Year
