Tycoon Tony Tan Caktiong’s Jollibee Group has opened its largest commissary in Visayas and Mindanao, turning Danao City in Cebu into a major production and logistics base for its fast-growing regional store network.

The company inaugurated the facility on January 8, 2026, as it scales up manufacturing capacity to support more branches and higher same-store demand across the Philippines.

Multi-brand supply chain anchor

Jollibee said the Danao site is its first multi-brand, state-of-the-art commissary in the Philippines, supplying products and key ingredients for Jollibee, Chowking, Mang Inasal, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, and Burger King.

The commissary will also reinforce distribution across Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod, Zamboanga, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao, while extending support to select Luzon areas as the group expands nationwide.

Jollibee Group executives and government partners led the opening of the company’s first state-of-the-art, multi-brand commissary in the Philippines in Danao, Cebu, built to support rising demand in VisMin. Jobs and renewables

The facility is expected to generate close to 500 jobs, with over 60 percent of the workforce coming from Danao City, rising to 800 jobs at full capacity.

“The opening of the Danao Commissary is both a reflection of our journey and a new beginning,” said Joseph Tanbuntiong, CEO of Jollibee Group Philippines and head of Jollibee Brand Global.

From Day 1 of commercial operations, the commissary runs on 99 percent renewable electricity from geothermal sources and features solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, and wastewater treatment.
