  • Taiwan becomes Potato Corner’s 16th global market.

Potato Corner, the Philippines’ homegrown flavored fries giant, has made its debut in Taiwan, marking another milestone in its international growth journey.

The big picture

On Aug. 4, 2025, Potato Corner opened its first store in Taipei at the Uni-President Department Store in Xinyi District, one of the capital’s busiest lifestyle hubs.

The brand, now part of Shakey’s Pizza Asia Ventures Inc. (SPAVI), operates 2,345 stores worldwide and is present in 16 overseas markets.

Why it matters

The Taiwan launch expands Potato Corner’s footprint in East Asia, reflecting its strategy to scale aggressively across key international locations.

Its partnership with Fujin Tree Group—an established F&B and lifestyle operator managing 15 brands, including a Michelin-starred restaurant—provides a strong foundation for brand recognition and rapid rollout in Taiwan.
