The projects—Uptown Modern in Uptown Bonifacio and One Portwood in Newport City—will feature civil, structural, architectural, and MEPF works handled by Megawide.
Big picture
The two contracts are part of the P20 billion worth of new deals under negotiation as it aims to bring its total order book to P50 billion by year-end.
This adds to ongoing projects with Trans Aire Development Holdings (a San Miguel subsidiary), DoubleDragon, 8990 Holdings, Landers, and Citicore Power.
Management’s view
“We are very excited to again work with Megaworld, who has been our long-standing client. Our partnership with them is built on the shared pursuit of sustainability, excellence, and speed-to-market, which have defined both our organizations’ brand and track record,” Saavedra, the chair, president and CEO of Megawide, said in a statement.
“We intend to cultivate this further by providing them products and services that meet their very strict quality and workmanship standards,” he added.
Strong partnership
The company said the new projects will showcase its pre-cast construction technology and integrated solutions, previously used in Megaworld’s major projects like The Worldwide Plaza, Albany Luxury Suites, and Gentry Manor.
Megaworld, for its part, praised the contractor’s consistency and technical precision.
“Our strategic partnership with Megawide has been built on a foundation of trust, and we applaud the consistent excellence they bring to every project,” said Jennifer L. Romualdez, Megaworld head of operations.
“We are proud to collaborate with a top-tier construction company like Megawide as we turn our vision for our integrated townships like Uptown Bonifacio and Newport City into reality,” she added.
