Philippine Airlines is opening a new Cebu–Guam route in December, and passengers will be among the first to experience its newly refurbished A321ceos recently upgraded for more spacious cabins.

The thrice-weekly nonstop flights kick off on Dec. 16, 2025, creating the only direct link between Cebu and the US Pacific territory while complementing PAL’s existing daily Manila–Guam service.

“This new service enhances Cebu’s role as a strategic gateway to international markets, while providing Guam’s large Filipino community and travelers from the US Pacific territory direct access to the Visayas and Mindanao regions,” said PAL president Richard Nuttall.

Flights will leave Cebu every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 9:40 PM and return from Guam every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 5:15 AM.

The service will be operated by PAL’s reconfigured Airbus A321ceos, which feature upgraded business and economy cabins, fewer seats overall, and new in-seat entertainment to lift the passenger experience.

The refreshed aircraft are part of a multi-year retrofit program that will see 18 jets overhauled and redeployed on regional international routes through 2027.

Cebu Airport chief Athanasios Titonis welcomed the move, saying the direct US link not only makes travel faster but also strengthens Cebu’s role as a gateway for visitors from the Pacific and Asia.

The new flights also deepen PAL’s regional strategy, adding to direct routes from Cebu to Japan, Korea, and Vietnam, while giving Visayas and Mindanao travelers easier global access.

Guam, home to a Filipino community that makes up nearly 30 percent of its 179,000 residents, represents a vital link in PAL’s US network.
