The operation, which runs from October 25 to November 3, is expected to handle around 1.35 million passengers, up from 1.3 million in the same period last year.
“Undas is one of the busiest travel periods for the airport, and we are fully prepared to manage the expected surge. We have deployed additional personnel, strengthened coordination with partner agencies, and activated passenger assistance counters to make travel smoother and safer for everyone,” said NNIC president Ramon Ang.
Coordination and security measures strengthened
NNIC is coordinating with key government partners — including the Manila International Airport Authority, Department of Transportation, Office for Transportation Security, Philippine National Police–Aviation Security Group, Bureau of Immigration, and Bureau of Customs — to ensure adequate staffing and resources at all terminals.
PNP Special Operations Unit teams and K-9 units are on duty for proactive security patrols, while Oplan Assistance Counters have been set up at key areas to help travelers with inquiries, directions, and lost-and-found concerns.
Modernization efforts improving airport experience
Now in its second Undas season as a privately managed facility, NAIA continues to benefit from modernization efforts that have improved passenger flow and reliability.
Since NNIC took over in September 2024, on-time performance has reached a record 92.29 percent, with the airport handling 51.7 million passengers in its first year — a 4 percent increase year-on-year.
NNIC has remitted P57 billion to the government under its 82.16 percent revenue share, the highest among Philippine PPPs, and has invested P3.25 billion in upgrades under a P72-billion, five-year capital program.
Passenger advisory
Travelers are urged to arrive three hours before international flights and two hours before domestic flights, allow extra time for security screening, pack smart, and keep valuables secure.
