New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) said the incident happened at around 10:43 a.m. on April 3 at the West Arrival Curb C area near a food concession. Seven individuals in the vicinity were injured but “were attended to immediately,” with all now in stable condition.
The response highlights how the private operator is handling safety incidents in one of the country’s busiest transport hubs, where operational reliability and passenger trust are critical.

NNIC underscored that its medical team, airport security personnel, and the PNP Aviation Security Group “responded at once, secured the area, and assisted those affected.” The swift action aimed to contain the situation and prevent further harm.
“Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the incident. NNIC is working closely with the relevant authorities and will take the necessary acMon based on the findings,” the firm said in a statement on Friday, April 3, 2026.

NNIC said it will continue assisting those involved and release further updates as more information becomes available, pending results of the investigation.
