The expansion gives travelers more places to eat, grab coffee or shop before boarding, addressing a longstanding shortage of dining options in the departure area.
More choices before takeoff
Kenny Rogers Roasters and Seattle's Best Coffee occupy the second floor, while Paris Baguette, General's Lechon and Travel Hub are located on the mezzanine level.
The mezzanine offers a dining area overlooking the passenger waiting area, with large glass windows and a nearby flight information display allowing travelers to keep an eye on boarding schedules.
Travel Hub also sells Filipino pasalubong, snacks, gifts and personal items for passengers making last-minute purchases.
Airport makeover continues
The new establishments are part of the improvements being introduced by New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), which took over airport operations in September 2024.
The operator has also been upgrading boarding areas, passenger facilities, transport access and airport signage while working to improve flight handling and reduce delays.
NAIA's on-time flight performance improved to 81.09 percent from January 1 to October 13, 2026, compared with 77.72 percent during the same period last year.
The upgrades come as the airport handles far more passengers than its original capacity of 35 million annually, with traffic reaching a record 52 million in 2025.
