In a statement, the agency said this project targets the rehabilitation of schools impacted by natural disasters from 2019 to 2023, focusing on retrofitting and rebuilding efforts outside Metro Manila.

Designed to meet the latest multi-hazard resilient standards, the initiative will fortify 13,101 classrooms in 1,282 schools, ensuring safer learning environments for approximately 741,038 students.

This strategic move aligns with the country's goal to strengthen infrastructure resilience and educational quality by 2029, NEDA said.
