This growth was driven by improved gross margins in its S&R segment, a membership-based retail chain offering bulk products and imported goods.
Consolidated revenue grew 9.1 percent to P151.97 billion, up from P139.3 billion, supported by a 3.5-percent growth in same-store sales at Puregold and a 4.1-percent increase at S&R Warehouse Clubs, attributed to higher customer traffic and larger basket sizes.
Expansion continues
As of Sept. 2024, the company expanded its network, adding 19 Puregold outlets, three S&R Membership Shopping Warehouses, and three S&R New York Style QSRs (quick service restaurants), reaching a total of 591 locations.
The company’s network now includes 505 Puregold stores, 29 S&R warehouses, and 57 S&R QSRs.
