The company recently held its first Mareng EMS Caravan at The Tent, Mandani Bay in Mandaue City, bringing together entrepreneurs and participating brands to explore business opportunities and membership benefits.
Mareng EMS, which stands for Enterprising Metro Suki, is Metro Retail's business-focused program designed to help small retailers manage their operations and grow their businesses.
Business support
Through the program, members can access exclusive offers, discounts, customized rewards and practical business tips aimed at improving their operations and profitability.
The caravan featured product showcases, promotional activities, interactive games and an event passport activity encouraging participants to engage with retail partners.
Qualified MBC members also received goodie bags containing product samples and other items from participating brands.
MRSGI president and chief operating officer Joselito Orense said the initiative recognizes the contribution of small entrepreneurs to their families and communities.
“The Mareng EMS Caravan is more than just a gathering. It is a celebration of the hardworking entrepreneurs who share one dream — to grow their businesses, provide better for their families, and build a better future,” Orense said.
Stronger partnerships
Metro Retail said the program also seeks to strengthen relationships with business customers by understanding their purchasing requirements and providing support beyond regular retail transactions.
The company aims to help entrepreneurs who buy products for resale through reliable supplies, practical business education and continued commercial engagement.
The initiative forms part of Metro Retail's efforts to build long-term relationships with small retailers and support the growth of local enterprises. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
