Access to dollar-denominated accounts has long been a hurdle for Filipino freelancers and overseas workers. RCBC’s U.S. Virtual Account removes the need for a U.S. address, opening doors for roughly 1.5 million freelancers and around 12 million overseas Filipinos and their families.
That push is now gaining global attention, with RCBC named the only Philippine bank recognized at the 2026 International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Gold Quill Awards for its customer relations campaign supporting the Pulz platform.
The big picture
The capability, highlighted in a company release, was launched through a partnership with U.S.-based Meridian. It allows users to receive remittances in U.S. dollars in real time and convert funds into pesos at their preferred timing.
