The expansion push is also creating thousands of new jobs, with 2,500 roles added in 2024, including positions at its new distribution center in Sariaya, Quezon. As Alfamart grows, it continues to bring modern minimart convenience to underserved communities.
More stores, more jobs
Small businesses are thriving with Alfamart, as micro, small and medium-sized enterprises like Laundry Express, Coco Fresh Tea & Juice, and Potato Corner expand inside its stores.
These partnerships give entrepreneurs a bigger platform while offering more choices to customers.
Alfamart has also expanded across 11 provinces—Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Quezon, Rizal, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Bataan, Pangasinan, and Zambales—plus 15 cities in Metro Manila, reinforcing its strong presence in Luzon.
Management’s view
“Our continued growth is anchored on the needs of the neighborhoods we serve. We remain committed to strengthening our presence in the underserved areas within Luzon, in order to provide the communities better value and easier access to essential goods.” said Harvey T. Ong, chief operating officer of Alfamart Philippines.
Closer ties with partners
To improve its offerings, Alfamart is strengthening partnerships with local hog raisers and poultry farmers, ensuring affordable and high-quality frozen meats.
It has also introduced in-store butchers in select branches, allowing customers to get fresh cuts tailored to their needs. With its continued expansion, Alfamart remains committed to supporting local communities, creating jobs, and enhancing the shopping experience.
“As we grow, we want our communities to grow with us. By offering spaces within our stores for MSMEs, we empower local businesses while enhancing the overall shopping experience for our customers,” Ong said.
“Fostering inclusive growth, creating more business and employment opportunities, and bringing modern minimart convenience to the communities remain our priority as we enter our second decade of service to the Filipino people,” he added.
