Robinsons Novaliches has been recognized as a certified green mall for its groundbreaking efforts in sustainability, earning the “Excellence in Climate Action” award from Quezon City mayor Josefina G. Belmonte during the Quezon City Green Awards.

The recognition highlights the mall’s pioneering initiative, the Recycling Market, launched in 2017 to promote waste reduction and encourage sustainable living in the community.

As a leader in green practices, Robinsons Novaliches integrates solar panels, energy-efficient lighting, and water conservation systems, earning a special citation in climate action at last year’s Green Awards.

Robinsons Magnolia, too

Meanwhile, Robinsons Magnolia continues to set industry benchmarks in sustainability, winning the Sustainable Shopping Center Design Award at the 2024 Outstanding Filipino Retailers Awards.

This follows its 2023 top honors at the Quezon City Green Awards for its green residuals waste management program.

Management’s view

“We are very honored to receive the Excellence in Climate Action award from the Quezon City Government for the second year in a row.” said Joel S. Lumanlan, vice president for operations and marketing of Robinsons Malls.

“As we continue to provide our customers with delightful dining, shopping, and entertainment experiences, we remain committed to sustainability through clean and renewable energy sources, comprehensive waste management, and innovative green practices integrated into our malls’ design and operations.”
