The amount was allocated for the expansion of RMHC’s Bahay Bulilit Learning Centers, which provide children in underserved communities with safe spaces for learning and play.
Since its inception in 2010, the Stripes Run has grown into a widely celebrated event, combining fitness, family, and community impact.
This year’s record turnout is credited to McDonald’s innovative marketing strategies, including robust social media campaigns, collaborations with schools, fitness enthusiasts, and pet communities.
One standout feature was the Fur Stripes category, allowing participants to run alongside their pets. This initiative, introduced to enhance inclusivity, reached full capacity with 500 furry companions joining the event.
“The Fur Stripes category reflects McDonald’s commitment to fostering family moments and celebrating the bond between people and their pets,” said Adi Timbol-Hernandez, McDonald’s Philippines assistant vice president for corporate relations and impact.
Celebrity appearances from the Agoncillo family, KaladKaren, Angeline Quinto, Ysabel Ortega, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco energized the crowd and underscored the event’s widespread appeal.--Ed: CSN
