Philippine Airlines will discontinue all turboprop flights to and from Manila effective March 29, 2026, as part of a slot reallocation ordered by regulators.

The move follows timelines set under a July 29, 2025 resolution of the Manila Slot Coordination Committee, which requires turboprop services to exit Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Rerouting and hubs

Affected routes will be shifted to alternative hubs, with Coron and Siargao flights moved to Clark, Catarman flights transferred to Cebu, and Antique services routed via Iloilo.

Passengers with existing bookings will receive revised itineraries and may choose to rebook within 60 days, convert tickets to two-year travel credits, or request refunds for unused portions.

Jet expansion

At the same time, the flag carrier will add domestic jet capacity beginning March 2026 to absorb displaced demand.

Weekly frequencies will rise to as many as 76 flights on Manila–Cebu, 42 on Manila–Iloilo, 28 on Manila–Tacloban, 21 on Manila–Dumaguete, and 14 on Manila–Roxas.

The shift allows PAL to redeploy jets on high-demand routes while complying with updated airport slot rules.

For the airline, the realignment concentrates turboprop operations outside Manila and expands jet capacity on core domestic corridors.
