NAIA enhances free Wi-Fi: Faster speeds, longer access for passengers

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) now offers faster and more reliable internet access, following system upgrades by New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), the airport’s new private sector operator.

In a statement, NNIC said passengers at NAIA can now connect to free Wi-Fi with speeds ranging from 50 to 60 Mbps, with peak speeds reaching 115 Mbps.

The network, branded “NewNAIA,” serves an average of 1,000 users per hour across all terminals.

In a bid to improve user experience, NNIC has also extended the free usage period to three hours, up from the previous two-hour limit.

Registration requirements for access have been removed, simplifying the connection process.

NNIC partnered with telecommunications providers PLDT/Smart and Converge to ensure consistent and high-quality service across the airport’s terminals.

“For air travelers, fast and reliable internet connectivity is a must,” the company said, emphasizing the need for seamless access for completing travel-related tasks, staying in touch with loved ones, and browsing the web.

This initiative is part of NNIC’s broader strategy to elevate passenger services at NAIA, aligning with modern traveler expectations. The company aims to continue enhancing operations across the airport over time.
