The interruption — scheduled from 2:00 p.m. on Nov. 1 to 6:00 a.m. on Nov. 2 — is part of Maynilad Water Services Inc.’s maintenance activities at the Putatan treatment plant in Muntinlupa City.
To ensure continued water access, NNIC will draw from Terminal 3’s water reserves, which hold a combined 3.2 million liters. Maynilad will also support the terminal’s needs by deploying water trucks to refill storage tanks as necessary.
The San Miguel Corp.-led operator of the Manila airport has further prepared by positioning water containers in restrooms throughout the terminal, with additional water trucks on standby for refills.
NNIC advised passengers and terminal staff to conserve water during the outage.
“Simple steps like using water sparingly in restrooms and reporting any leaks can help ensure adequate water supply for all,” the company said in a statement.
This proactive plan aims to minimize inconvenience for passengers and staff during one of the year’s busiest travel periods, underscoring NAIA’s commitment to smooth operations despite utility challenges, it added.
