In coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Philippine Air Force, Maynilad delivered more than 2,000 of the more than 5,000 donated six-liter bottles of safe drinking water to the Bicol region, one of the areas hardest hit by the typhoon.
The delivery, transported via C-130 aircraft, provides timely access to potable water for affected residents.
The remaining bottles were distributed to local government units in Morong (Rizal), Noveleta (Cavite), and Barangay Bagong Silangan (Quezon City), with additional support from the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF), Alagang Kapatid, and the PLDT-Smart Foundation. This coordinated effort ensures that communities throughout the region have access to clean drinking water during a critical time.
Beyond bottled water donations, Maynilad deployed two mobile water treatment plants to boost access to clean water for typhoon survivors. These mobile plants, each capable of producing 13,000 gallons of potable water per day, were stationed in evacuation centers to help meet the urgent water needs of evacuees and alleviate shortages in affected areas.
This relief initiative reinforces Maynilad’s commitment to supporting communities in times of disaster.
