Families in the Bicol region are finding refuge at PLDT and Smart’s Daet Cable Landing Station as Typhoon Kristine wreaks havoc, displacing communities across the area.

At least 21 families have been safely housed in the facility, waiting for floodwaters to subside.

Meanwhile, the PLDT-Smart Foundation is preparing 4,000 relief packs for North Luzon and Bicol, partnering with Alagang Kapatid Foundation for distribution.

PLDT urges affected residents to follow local safety advisories.

Heavy rainfall warnings remain in effect across Southern Luzon, Metro Manila, and the Visayas as Kristine continues its path.
