Key regions targeted include Bicol, Northern Luzon, and CALABARZON, according to Pagcor chair and CEO Alejandro Tengco.
“This is just the start of our massive relief drive for Kristine-hit areas,” Tengco said.
“Coordination with various local government units and other government agencies like the Office of the Civil Defense is ongoing to ensure the safe and prompt delivery of Pagcor’s aid to displaced communities.”
Since Oct. 24, Pagcor volunteers have worked to prepare and deliver supplies, though road access issues initially delayed efforts. Lipa City received 2,000 food and non-food packs, becoming the first area to benefit as roads became accessible.
The next day, Pagcor donated 3,000 relief packs to the Angat Buhay Foundation for distribution in flood-hit Naga City.
Tengco emphasized ongoing coordination with local governments and the Office of the Civil Defense to ensure efficient aid delivery.
Bicol alone is set to receive over 24,000 packs, with relief extending to Albay, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Apayao, La Union, Quezon, Rizal, and Ilocos Sur.
