This comes after Energy Secretary Raphael Lotilla was chosen by President Marcos to head the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
Taking his place is Energy Undersecretary Sharon Garin, serving as acting secretary.
On the sidelines of the Meralco annual stockholders meeting, Pangilinan told reporters he was hopeful the new leadership will continue with reforms and projects started under Lotilla’s term.
“Secretary Lotilla has laid out his own plans and they should be good. I doubt whether his successor will deviate too much from what he’s laid out,” said Pangilinan.
“He’s a very competent public servant,” he added.
Asked about his wish list for the new leadership, Pangilinan kept his cards close. He declined to say so as to not preempt the new DOE chief’s plans.
