Insider Spotlight
Bhatia will oversee a consolidated organization spanning enterprise sales, solution sales, channels, and alliances, while continuing to report to Asia Pacific president Amar Babu.
Why it matters
The move reflects Lenovo’s effort to sharpen execution as demand for AI-led infrastructure and enterprise solutions rises unevenly across Asia Pacific.
The region spans both mature and emerging markets, creating a complex mix of customer needs and digital readiness that requires tighter coordination across business units.
Driving integration
Bhatia, a decade-long leader of Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Group in the region, has been credited with steering sustained growth during a period of transformation. His expanded mandate brings together previously fragmented teams to better align Lenovo’s full-stack AI portfolio with customer demand.
Lenovo said, in a company release, that the region’s diversity presents an opportunity to deliver flexible, end-to-end solutions tailored to varying levels of digital maturity.
Bigger picture
The new structure is intended to accelerate deployment of Hybrid AI offerings, a strategic priority as enterprises seek to balance on-premise and cloud capabilities.
By integrating commercial functions, Lenovo aims to streamline go-to-market strategies and deepen partner ecosystems across Asia Pacific.
Leadership transition
The appointment comes amid broader leadership changes. Ivan Cheung, vice president and general manager of PCs and Smart Devices and chief operating officer in Asia Pacific, is set to retire in June 2026 after contributing to Lenovo’s regional growth.
Benjamin Yeh succeeded him as vice president and general manager of PCSD for Asia Pacific in March 2026, while Cheung continued to serve as chief operating officer until his retirement.
What’s next
With Bhatia leading its commercial strategy, Lenovo is positioning itself to capture rising enterprise demand for AI-driven solutions while navigating the region’s varied pace of digital transformation. —Princess Daisy C. Ominga | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
