Pinga brings more than two decades of experience across the hospitality, fitness, and leisure sectors. Before joining Pico de Loro, he served as general manager of Pueblo de Oro Golf and Country Club, where he led club operations, financial management, customer relations, and business development initiatives.
He also held leadership positions in several golf and country clubs, including Dakak Golf Club Inc., Calatagan Golf Club Inc., Valley Golf and Country Club, and Alabang Country Club.
Why it matters
The appointment comes as SMHCC continues expanding its hospitality and leisure footprint in the Philippines, with the company investing in stronger leadership across its portfolio of hotels, resorts, and convention properties.
Pinga is expected to oversee the overall administration and daily operations of Pico de Loro Beach & Country Club, while leading initiatives focused on operational efficiency, member engagement, and community-building efforts.
Located in Nasugbu, Batangas, Pico de Loro Beach & Country Club is one of the country’s established coastal leisure communities, offering recreational facilities, wellness amenities, and membership-based lifestyle services.
The bigger picture
SMHCC said Pinga’s extensive background in handling membership-driven and recreational properties positions him to help strengthen Pico de Loro’s standing as a preferred destination outside Metro Manila for families and leisure travelers.
Known for his hands-on management style, Pinga has built a reputation for improving service standards and cultivating strong relationships with members, guests, and employees, according to the company.
“I am honored to join Pico de Loro Beach & Country Club and be part of a community that has become synonymous with leisure, wellness, and meaningful connections,” Pinga said in a press statement.
“I look forward to working closely with the team in further strengthening the Club’s service culture, enhancing member benefits, and continuing to build on Pico de Loro’s reputation as one of the country’s premier lifestyle and leisure destinations,” he added.
SMHCC is the hospitality arm of SM Prime Holdings Inc. Its portfolio includes 10 hotel properties, more than 2,600 rooms, and over 42,000 square meters of convention space across the Philippines. —Vanessa Hidalgo | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
