Insiders within the DICT have come to appreciate the former digital bank head’s management style ever since he was chosen to head the department two months ago.
Like others in the ongoing Cabinet revamp, Aguda submitted his courtesy resignation, but that doesn’t mean work at the department has come to standstill.
Aguda has kept things moving and their teams focused.
Volunteers saw this during the elections, when Aguda was at the DICT Threat Monitoring Center, checking systems and watching for cyberattacks that could disrupt the polls.
He has since reminded those within the DICT that democracy continues despite the successful elections.
The DICT’s Threat Monitoring Center continues to run and will remain in place until the end of the month.
What’s next? Many are waiting for the results of the Cabinet change.
For now, it’s about keeping the work going, and hoping that good governance continues.
