Philippine businesses are stepping up their use of artificial intelligence and other digital technologies, driving stronger demand for the connectivity, cloud, cybersecurity and business applications needed to support increasingly digital operations.

That demand helped lift Globe Business’ corporate data revenue by 15 percent year-on-year to a record P11 billion in the first half of 2026, the first double-digit first-half growth since 2023. Second-quarter revenues likewise reached a record P5.9 billion.

Growth was driven by higher core data revenues, led by domestic internet services, alongside continued strength in information and communication technology (ICT), particularly business application solutions, the enterprise arm of Globe Telecom Inc. said in the statement.

Digital demand

Globe chief commercial officer Darius Delgado said companies increasingly see digital transformation as essential to improving operations and preparing for growth.

“Businesses are increasingly treating digital transformation as fundamental to how they operate, serve their customers, and prepare for future growth. The sustained demand we are seeing reflects the importance enterprises place on reliable connectivity and technology that can help them become more efficient, resilient and competitive,” Delgado said.

As businesses face more complex technology requirements, Globe Business has been expanding its capabilities in connectivity, cloud, cybersecurity, business applications and AI-enabled solutions.

Network spending

Globe also invested P26.3 billion in capital expenditures during the first half, with about 91 percent allocated to data-related initiatives aimed at expanding network capacity and improving service quality.

“Our focus is to grow alongside our enterprise customers, helping them turn technology into meaningful business outcomes,” Delgado said.

“As their needs evolve, we will continue strengthening our capabilities to support their transformation and long-term growth,” he added.

Integrated approach

Globe Business recently showcased its enterprise strategy at G Summit 2026, where business leaders saw how connectivity, AI, cybersecurity and automation can work together to address enterprise challenges.

Held under the theme “Orchestrating Intelligence,” the summit highlighted an integrated approach that brings different technologies together rather than treating them as standalone solutions.
