ABS-CBN exec, 3 other Filipinos join prestigious international communications org

Four Filipino communication professionals have taken key roles in the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).

Kane Errol Choa, vice president of corporate communications at ABS-CBN, joins the IABC international executive board as Asia Pacific regional director. He is the third IABC Philippines leader to hold this position and will serve for 2024-2025, following approval at the IABC Annual General Meeting in Chicago.

Anthony Alcantara, assistant vice president of corporate communications at Metrobank, is serving his second term as brand and communications director. He also oversees Metrobank Wealth Insights, the bank’s wealth management platform, with over 20 years of experience.

Liza Vengco, vice president for marketing communication at RCBC, continues as awards and recognition director for IABC Asia Pacific. She is an accredited business communicator with over 25 years of experience across retail, FMCG, and financial industries.

Lynda Corpuz, now brand and communications director at IABC Asia Pacific, has extensive experience in communications, media, public relations, and social media. She has worked across banking, healthcare, IT, and outsourcing, holding key roles at Google and IBM in the Philippines. 

Currently, she is senior communications manager at Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group.
