The initiative, led by the Department of Education, is expected to draw thousands of teachers and education stakeholders from across the country.
“China Bank Savings is honored to stand alongside our Filipino teachers in this national celebration. They are the backbone of inclusive growth and social progress,” said CBS president James Christian T. Dee.
“Our mission goes beyond banking—we aim to create real impact through education, financial literacy, and empowerment,” he added.
The sponsorship includes cash-loaded savings accounts, laptops, motorcycles, a Toyota Innova as grand prize, and commemorative items for educators.
Beyond the one-day celebration, CBS is co-implementing a Financial Wellness Workshop Series across Visayas and Mindanao to strengthen budgeting and savings skills among teachers.
Over the past four years, the bank has committed more than P40 million in prizes and sponsorships for National Teachers’ Day, underscoring its focus on education and financial resilience.
CBS, which operates 277 locations nationwide and maintains the country’s second largest ATM network among thrift banks, has also stepped up donations for DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela and Learning Recovery programs.
