The collaboration is aimed at helping Prince Warehouse strengthen operational efficiency while managing long-term energy costs as the company continues to expand its presence across the country.
Smarter energy
Through the partnership, Prince Warehouse seeks to optimize how energy supports its stores, focusing on productivity, efficiency, and long-term cost management.
By working with COREnergy, the retailer gains greater flexibility in aligning its energy requirements with evolving business needs, while also supporting sustainability goals through more strategic energy choices.
“To remain relevant and responsive to our customers, we continue to rethink how we operate. Energy plays a critical role in keeping our stores efficient and resilient,” Blake Nelson Go, vice president for business development and finance of Prince Warehouse Inc., said in a statement.
“Partnering with COREnergy allows us to make more informed energy decisions that support our growth, while maintaining reliable service for our customers,” Go added.
Energy choice
The collaboration comes as more commercial and industrial electricity users gain access to greater energy choice under the Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA) framework.
Recent policy developments have lowered the threshold for participation to 100 kilowatts (kW) peak demand, allowing more businesses to explore alternatives beyond their traditional utility providers.
This means qualified companies can now work with licensed retail electricity suppliers such as COREnergy to source electricity more competitively.
Strategic approach
Through COREnergy, businesses are able to manage energy more strategically—from optimizing supply arrangements to incorporating sustainability considerations into long-term operational planning.
The partnership with Prince Warehouse reflects Vivant Energy’s focus on supporting community-oriented businesses as they adapt to an evolving and increasingly competitive energy landscape.
By providing more options for sourcing electricity, COREnergy aims to help companies improve operational stability while strengthening their sustainability initiatives.
Growing demand
As businesses reassess how energy affects profitability, productivity, and overall performance, energy sourcing is becoming an increasingly strategic decision.
COREnergy said it continues to work with forward-looking companies seeking smarter energy solutions, giving them greater “Power of Choice” in how they source and manage electricity.
For retailers like Prince Warehouse, the partnership highlights how energy management is becoming an important part of maintaining efficiency and supporting long-term business growth. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
