Fiber now makes up 97 percent of Home revenues, underscoring the group’s rapid exit from legacy technologies and cementing its status as the premium player in the broadband space.
“Our growth reflects the increasing demand for high-speed connectivity and value-rich digital experiences,” said John Y. Palanca, senior vice president and head of PLDT Home Business.
“We’re expanding our fiber footprint while delivering bundled services that meet evolving customer needs," he added.
Overall Home revenues grew 4 percent to P30.4 billion, powered by 169,000 new fiber subscribers in the first half—triple last year’s net adds—bringing total connections to 3.53 million.
Subscriber appetite was driven by lifestyle bundles like Fiber Unli All and Fiber Plus Netflix, with more than 80 percent of new customers in the second quarter choosing higher-value plans at P1,299 and above.
This premium mix lifted average revenue per user to P1,485, the industry’s highest, while churn stayed at just 1.93 percent thanks to faster installations, AI-powered support, and quicker repair times.
By end-June, PLDT Home’s fiber network had passed 19.01 million homes, covering 74 percent of towns and 91 percent of provinces.
