This new route enhances PAL’s extensive offerings, which include daily flights from Manila to Shanghai (Pudong), Xiamen, and Quanzhou (Jinjiang).
With this expansion, PAL strengthens its role as the premier bridge between the Philippines and Mainland China, catering to both business and leisure travelers.
“We are honored to serve the capital city of the People’s Republic of China, the diplomatic heart of the world’s second-largest economy, as our contribution to strengthening air links to the Chinese mainland,” said PAL president and chief operating officer Capt. Stanley K. Ng.
“We believe that the Manila–Beijing service will help boost tourism, enhance trade, and deepen the friendly ties between the Filipino and Chinese people,” he added.
The new Manila–Beijing flights will use Airbus A321 aircraft, featuring both Business Class and Economy services, accommodating 168–199 passengers.
Beijing, the world’s eighth-largest city, is home to iconic landmarks like the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven, with the industrial hub Tianjin accessible via a high-speed train.
PAL’s Beijing service also enables travelers to connect seamlessly through Manila to premier Philippine destinations like Cebu, Davao, Boracay, and Palawan, or international hubs in Southeast Asia, Australia, and North America.
