Makati transforms mobility with Philippines’ largest EV charging network

Makati City, the Philippines’ premier hub for innovation and sustainability, has taken a bold step toward green mobility with the launch of the country’s largest electric vehicle (EV) charging network.

Developed through a partnership between Ayala Land, AC Mobility, the Makati Commercial Estate Association (MACEA), and the local government, the project features 70 charging points across 16 prime locations, making Makati the first city in the country to integrate an EV network of this scale. It also marks the debut of the first super-fast EV chargers in the Philippines.

The initiative reaffirms Makati’s position as a future-ready urban center and sets a benchmark for other cities in embracing clean energy solutions. With plans to expand the network to over 100 charge points in 22 locations, the city is preparing the infrastructure to meet growing EV adoption among residents, workers, and visitors.

Strategically placed in commercial and residential hotspots, the charging stations ensure convenient access for users. Key locations include One Ayala, Greenbelt, Glorietta, Tower One, and major carparks along Valero, Dela Rosa, and Corinthian streets.

There are currently 16 operational charging stations in Makati, with six more set to open soon.

“This initiative is more than infrastructure—it’s a signal of Makati’s commitment to clean mobility, innovation, and sustainability,” said a city representative. “We’re building the backbone of the electric future right here in the heart of the metro.”

Through collaborative planning and swift deployment by AC Mobility and city officials, the charging stations were rolled out to serve one of the country’s busiest and most dynamic districts.
