Insider Spotlight
As companies race to integrate AI, Globe Business is advocating “intelligent transformation” — aligning technology with ethical leadership, human intuition, and long-term growth.
The big picture
The initiative underscores a growing view that tech alone is insufficient without deliberate leadership guiding its use.
“Technology will continue to evolve, but leadership must remain intentional,” KD Dizon, vice president and head of Globe Business, said in a press statement on April 16, 2026.
“The most powerful technology is still human-led,” she added.
Why it matters
The shift comes as businesses confront risks tied to automation, including bias, governance gaps, and loss of human-centric design. Globe Business argues women leaders are uniquely positioned to address these challenges through empathy and ethical oversight.
Driving the agenda
Through its LeadHERship Forward forums, Globe Business convened female executives and technologists in Manila and Cebu to redefine leadership roles in AI.
Michelle Alarcon of the Analytics and AI Association of the Philippines urged women to move beyond being users of technology and instead design the systems themselves, embedding ethical direction into AI.
Meanwhile, Globe executives highlighted inclusivity and intuition as critical to building resilient digital infrastructure.
Beyond the boardroom
The campaign also reached SMEs and entrepreneurs via partnerships with AmCham and Go Negosyo, aiming to close the digital leadership gap by simplifying tools and addressing adoption barriers.
The strategy
A notable pivot is the emphasis on sponsorship over mentorship—actively advocating for women in leadership decisions rather than just advising them. This approach is already being modeled internally by Globe Business leaders.
The bottom line
As AI reshapes industries, Globe Business is reframing leadership: from managing processes to safeguarding purpose. The company sees women leaders as central to ensuring technology remains human-centric—a competitive edge no algorithm can replicate. —Vanessa Hidalgo | Ed:Corrie S. Narisma
