Insider Spotlight
The company is set to open The Lind Coron in 2027, bringing the brand to Palawan more than a decade after Coron became its first property acquisition.
The Lind’s birthplace
The group initially considered Coron as the birthplace of The Lind Hotels but ultimately introduced the brand in Boracay, which was already a more established tourism destination.
That decision gave the company a platform to build its hospitality business before returning to its original plans for Palawan.
The Lind Boracay has since gained international recognition and became the first Boracay hotel included in the MICHELIN Guide.
A new standard of hospitality
The Coron property reflects the company’s strategy of entering destinations where it sees room to help shape the hospitality market rather than simply following established development.
“We have always believed in pioneering rather than following,” The Lind Hotels chief operating officer Pierre Henrichs said in a press statement.
“Coron offers a rare combination of natural beauty and untapped potential. Our goal is not only to be part of its growth, but to help shape its future by bringing a new standard of hospitality to the destination,” he added.
Spa and dive center
The resort will have 91 rooms and villas, including private villas with dipping pools and dedicated Villa Hosts.
Its food and beverage offerings will include modern Thai restaurant Yím and Mediterranean-focused Crust. The property will also house The Spa Wellness Coron and a dive center operated by one of the Philippines’ diving pioneers.
The resort is positioned to capitalize on Coron’s island-hopping, diving and marine tourism market, including access to World War II shipwrecks near the property.
‘A resort that belongs in its setting’
The Lind Coron will also target meetings, celebrations and destination weddings, with an indoor venue accommodating up to 200 guests, outdoor event areas and a Roof Deck offering 360-degree views.
“We aim to create a resort that belongs in its setting rather than competes with it,” The Lind Hotels chief operating officer Pierre Henrichs said.
