  • Sky and Converge said their commercial arrangement remains fully in force and effect.
  • The companies are extending certain conditions under the agreement while discussions with banks continue.
  • Subscribers will see no changes to existing services despite the extension.

Sky Cable Corp. and Converge ICT Solutions Inc. reassured customers that their commercial partnership remains in effect, with an official knowledgable with the deal telling InsiderPH that both firms are, in fact, extending certain conditions under their existing agreement while working with lenders.

A joint customer advisory set to be issued on Friday evening said “the commercial arrangement between Converge ICT Solutions Inc. and SKY Cable Corp., previously disclosed on July 22, 2024, remains in full force and effect.”

Why it matters

The statement clarifies that the partnership has not been terminated despite reaching what was originally envisioned as a two-year arrangement.

According to the source, the agreement continues to be in effect, with some conditions having been extended as the companies continue discussions with banks. The source added that “at no point was it off.

What they’re saying

Sky reiterated that customers will experience no disruption to existing services.

“SKY assures its subscribers that they will continue to be supported and there will be no changes in the services that are provided to them.”

The advisory did not provide additional details on the extension or the ongoing discussions with banks.

Between the lines

By emphasizing that the commercial arrangement remains “in full force and effect,” both companies signaled that the underlying agreement continues to govern their relationship while financing matters are being worked through.

For subscribers, the message remains unchanged: broadband and related services will continue without interruption, with no changes to the services currently being provided.
