This comes after the successful pilot of the Cignal Super streaming app, which will be powered by Tata Play Binge, the OTT technology platform of India’s Tata Group.
A partnership signing ceremony will soon take place, with key executives of the Tata Group expected to fly into the Philippines for the milestone event.
Competitive price
The app offers access to eight streaming services: MAX, VIU, Lionsgate Play, Hallmark+, Curiosity Stream, Fuse+, Pilipinas Live, and Cignal Play.
Cignal Super offers two plans: Premium Plus at P799/month for full access to all streaming services, and Premium at P499/month for a curated selection.
Until May 31, users can avail of a limited-time promo, P399 for Premium Plus and P249 for Premium.
By making the service affordable, Cignal hopes to attract more users toward legitimate streaming services while offering a better viewing experience.
Why Tata Play?
Rather than build a new system from the ground up, PLDT chose to adopt a proven model. By using a ready-made solution, Cignal can focus on the efficient rollout of this service to millions of Filipinos.
“This collaboration allows Cignal to deliver a world-class entertainment experience to Filipino viewers, at home and on the go. With over 70 million smartphone users in the Philippines, Cignal Super is set to revolutionize how Filipinos enjoy their favorite content,” said Jane Jimenez-Basas, president and CEO of Cignal.
