Why it matters
The agreement strengthens DigiPlus’ physical payment network at a time when gaming platforms are under pressure to broaden financial inclusion and maintain compliance with regulators. Bayad is accredited by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as an electronic money issuer, and DigiPlus said it works only with BSP-approved channels in line with Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. rules.
