The leased planes will operate key domestic routes, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, and Cagayan de Oro,from December 2025 to January 2026, each carrying 180 passengers.
Seasonal strategy
A damp lease means Bulgaria Air will provide the aircraft, pilots, and maintenance, while Cebu Pacific will deploy its own cabin crew, a setup that boosts flexibility during peak travel months without adding long-term costs.
The airline also uses wet leases, where it supplies the full aircraft and crew, such as its recent partnership with flyadeal, the low-cost arm of Saudi Arabia’s national carrier Saudia, which leased two Cebu Pacific A320s to support its summer capacity surge.
Management’s view
“We are continuously exploring ways to expand our fleet and ensure operational resilience,” said Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer Xander Lao.
“Our damp lease agreement with Bulgaria Air will allow us to meet strong travel demand from December 2025 to January 2026,” he added.
Bulgaria Air chair Hristo Todorov added, “We are pleased to partner with Cebu Pacific – one of the most dynamically developing airlines in Asia.”
“This collaboration is yet another testament to the high level of trust and professionalism that our team delivers in the implementation of international leasing projects,” he added.
