Why it matters
The growth shows how digital payment infrastructure is becoming central to public service delivery, especially for Filipinos who need easier access to savings, housing, and loan payment services.
The milestone comes as Maya was recognized for the third straight year as a Top Collecting Partner for Pag-IBIG Fund, underscoring its role in enabling digital collections for the agency.
By the numbers
Maya processed over 3.5 million transactions for Pag-IBIG Fund in 2025, reflecting nearly 20% growth in transaction volume and more than 38 percent growth in transaction value from 2024.
Through Maya’s payments infrastructure, Pag-IBIG members can settle savings contributions and loan payments online, reducing friction in accessing essential government financial services.
The bigger picture
Launched in December 2022, Virtual Pag-IBIG allows members to access services anytime through mobile devices or computers. Users can manage contributions, apply for housing loans, complete transactions, and connect with Pag-IBIG representatives for support.
As of 2025, Virtual Pag-IBIG had reached over 13.81 million downloads, reflecting the strong shift toward digital channels for financial and housing-related services.
This momentum supports Pag-IBIG Fund’s mandate to promote savings and enable affordable housing for Filipino workers. In 2025, the agency recorded P160.41 billion in membership savings collections and released P140.54 billion in housing loans, benefiting over 90,000 families. It also declared a record P64.34 billion in dividends, the highest payout in its 45-year history.
“As more members shift to digital channels, Virtual Pag-IBIG continues to play a key role in making our services more accessible and convenient,” Pag-IBIG Fund CEO Marilene Acosta said in a statement.
“Our partnerships with digital platforms like Maya allow us to better serve members wherever they are, including overseas Filipinos.”
The recognition also reflects Maya’s growing role in supporting public-sector digitalization as government agencies expand online services to improve accessibility and transaction efficiency.
Bottom line
“As more Filipinos go digital, it becomes increasingly important to make essential services easily accessible through these channels,” said Maya Group president and Maya co-founder Shailesh Baidwan.
“Our partnership with Pag-IBIG Fund enables members to conveniently manage their housing contributions and payments, as well as grow their savings through programs like MP2—helping them make the most of these services anytime, anywhere.”
